San Diego Audio Video specializes in saving your old audio to CD or to MP3 files. Many clients come to SDAV with music, commercial, broadcast, or other audio that is saved on old analog formats such as audio cassettes, micro cassettes, reel to reel, mini disc, DAT and 8-track.
Through San Diego Audio Video's Professional Audio Transfer Services, we can reformat your analog audio into digital audio. This digital audio can be saved to a high-quality CD where it can then be duplicated or replicated, it can be converted to an MP3 or WAV file for use on your computer, website, iPod or other digital music device.

At San Diego Audio Video, we offer Option 1 Direct Transfer of your audio as the least expensive method. Option 2 Transfer your Audio with Enhancement, normalizing, equalizing, removal of clicks, pops, hum, background noise. Have us add digital tracking to your content, too, so you can skip around easier from track to track. For your own convenience playing back old audio in '09, and for the sake of posterity, preserve those audio tracks now !

Audio Cassette / Micro Cassette Transfer to CD

Remember, CD's hold a max of 80 minutes. If you have more than 80 minutes, we use a second disc for $10 more. Remember also that micro cassettes have a "slow" speed, which will double MC-30, MC-60, MC-90. You can combine several audio tapes onto a single CD with no extra charge. (80 min. max.)

DAT (Digital Audio Tape) Transfer to CD

San Diego Audio Video can also transfer DAT to CD.

Reel to Reel Transfer to CD (1/4" only)

All size reels - 5", 7", 10". 2 track, 4 track, and 1/4 track stereo (both directions).
Reel to Reel is recorded at many different speeds, most common of which are 7 1/2 ips, 3 3/4 ips, and 1 7/8 ips.

Vinyl / LP Transfer to CD

San Diego Audio Video can also transfer 78's, 45's, and 33 rpm to CD.

Option 1: Direct Transfer to CD (unedited) is the least expensive method.

No editing, no enhancing, no tracking break

Option 2: Audio Editing Enhancing, Remastering, and adding track marks.

We will remove static, clicks, hum, pops, background noise. We will adjust levels if needed, eliminate unwanted gaps/spaces, balance level between left & right channels, and normalize music tracks. For any of above services, add $25/hr to Option 1 price. Extra copies for only $5 with transfer. $25 per hour with Option 1 price. Extra back up copies for only $5 with transfer.
